Would you like to go to a dive show? DAN, Divers Alert Network, lists many reasons for a scuba diver to attend a dive show.

Yet, in Canada, there is… None!

You can, however, find a bit of scuba diving “here and there” in outdoor shows.

For instance, last week, in Toronto, it was The Outdoor Adventure Show. A part of the show was called “Scuba World”. When you look at the list of exhibitors though, it looks more like a travel show! Most of the “scuba” exhibitors were dive travel destinations.

The Vancouver Outdoor Adventure & Travel Show is coming later this month. It doesn’t seem to even have a scuba diving section! Same situation with the Calgary Outdoor Adventure & Travel Show at the end of this month.

Do we agree with these reasons outlined by DAN? Should we have a Canadian scuba diving consumer show? What do you think?
